Adjunct Professor of the Department of Design (dDesign) of the Arts and Communication Centre of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), member of the information design research group (in portuguese) and head of design and computation integrated research group (in portuguese).
Founder of the Innovation Education Institute, with the professores from CIn Innovation Group, whose mission is the dissemination of methodologies and tools for an innovation oriented education, as to encourage an innovative education, foster the formation of a community of innovators and innovative practicies.
Worked from 2010 to 2017 as professor and researcher at Senac University Centre in São Paulo, investigating the aesthetic principles and autonomy in the language of computational media; coordinated in this period the researches on Wearable Computing, Aesthetics of Interaction and Generative Art in the Laboratory of Research in Interactive Environments (LPAI) by the group of Research in Applied Technologies.
Born in São Paulo in 1976, Guilherme Ranoya holds a PhD in Media and Audiovisual Processes, a MsC in Communication Sciences and a MBA in Strategic Communication Management from the School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA / USP), and a Bachelor Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Mackenzie University.
Participated until 2013 in the Study Group on Media Reception Practices, led by Professor Mauro Wilton de Sousa, PhD, with whom he had the opportunity to teach for 2 years Media Theory to the Audiovisual course at the School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo.
He was responsible, until 2017, for the Design, Aesthetics and Interactions course of the master program in Digital Communication from the School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA / USP).
He taught the disciplines of Interfaces Design and New Media in the master programs of Editorial Design, Graphic Design and Design & Branding of the Senac University Centre. Also taught disciplines in undergraduate programs of Digital Design, Graphic Design, Audiovisual, Multimedia Production, Advertising, Fashion and Audiovisual Production.
He was professor of Art Direction in New Media of the master program in Art Direction of the São Paulo's Fine Arts University Centre, and master program in Interface Design at the Metropolitan College of Campinas, and taught in the courses of science and computer engineering of the Paulista College of Computer Science and Administration (FIAP) and São Paulo's Associated Colleges (FASP).
He was the creative director for digital media projects at Tortuga Studios and L3A Interativa between 2001 and 2017.
